You are this kinda person: I'm a cheapskate who has no interest in learning about the whiz-bang stuff, and I don't give a squat if I have my own domain name. Can't I just start writing something?
Hey, you're easy. You can do it in a few short steps.
Step One: Get a site.
First, you need a site you can call your very own. And, one of the easiest ways to get your own site that requires absolutely no knowledge of html is to set up a blog site. (Cliff Clavin sidenote: "blog" is shorthand for "Web Log.") You'll select a template for your site, then log in to the site whenever you want to type in new words of wisdom. There are a lot of blogging sites out there, and www.blogger.com is as good as any. Here's a snapshot of what the front page looks like:

See that "start now" button in the middle of the screen? (It's got the big old red arrows blinking around it.) Click it. Then, you'll see:

Okay, so you won't see exactly this. You'll see this screen, with the boxes blank. So, you'll fill in your username where it says "SampleBlog," your first name where it says "Sample," your last name where it says "Blog," and so on. This is the username and password I created just to show folks how to blog.
Now, you'll create your own blog. This is the next screen:

Easy enough so far, huh?
Now, go to the next screen, and step 2:

You'll want to host it at Blogspot, which is free.
Step three, next screen:

Pick an address for your blog, which will be http://(yourblognamehere).blogspot.com. This sample, for instance, is located at http://tonysample.blogspot.com. Keep going: you're almost there. At step 4, you're gonna pick a template for your blog:

Fifth screen. Guess what? It's time to do your first post. Type in your post, then click the "Preview Your Post" button.

Now you'll get to see your post, along with the time and date posted:

Click "Publish your Post," and that's it. The next screen will tell you your blog published successfully, and offer you the chance to view your blog:

Now, if you go to your blogspot address (in this case, http://tonysample/blogspot.com), you'll see your post, ready for viewing by the world:

There. You got your very own website absolutely free, and you didn't have to learn a bit of code. Write, write, write, and share your blog address with everyone in the office.
Not ready to sign up yet? Go ahead and play around with the very blog you see here. Go to www.blogger.com, and where it says "Sign in" (see the first screenshot way above--the one with the flashing arrows), put:
Username: SampleBlog
Password: 123456.
Then follow the steps as outlined above.
