In May of 2007, I began a journey I certainly didn't expect to take: life with lymphoma. This is a somewhat day-by-day account of my life in the BC (Before Cancer) and AD (After Diagnosis) eras.

Lymphoma, me too?

Hi Tony, I;ve been reading your posts on webmagic, I also am a member of the site and have grade 2 stage 2 Lymphoma. Hope things go better with you. But you do have alot of advangtages.
Me, i was dignosied in March 07. I have no insurance, no job and have a son that is 13. I live with my boyfriend, whom has his own issues and is not much support.
I lost my husband to liver cancer 8 yrs. ago, he was 32 yrs. old, he was the love of my life, I still grive over him every day. I'm stuck tony, stuck in a world that I don't want to be in. It wsa already bad, but now cancer! can't seem to find a way out.

SO you see, you have support, a job, insurance, and the monster, me I have the monster plus many other issues! So don't give up Tony, I haven't! I will find a way to get treated, and get out of this relationship I'm in and be with my son again, whom is now in NJ staying with his fathers family. He is coming home next weekend, but what do I have to offer him anymore, Not much Tony, just my love. I wil survive! I will get to NJ to be with him! Hang in there with me Tony, i need people like you!

Hi, Sharon, and thanks for

Hi, Sharon, and thanks for commenting; I certainly hope I don't come across as bemoaning my state on this little project too much--but I will vent occasionally. If I can't do it here, then when? :) I know full well I'm in a very fortunate position, compared to many others.

Hang in there Sharon...

Sharon,

I was diagnosed at a time when i had no health insurance and didn't know how i was going to get through everything. There are so many options out there. I would recommend starting with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and also the American Cancer Society. They both offer grants and support for patients. I also took advantage of state and county health offices that helped with almost everything that i needed. It's amazing how strong we can be when we need to be. Hang in there and know that there are people out there who care about you and are praying for you to get better so that you can be with your son again.

So nice to hear from you, Deanna. We always loved seeing your smiling face, but this will do as a stand-in. And thanks for the kind words.

Hi Tony,

It's wonderful to know that you are doing so well ... note, emphasis on "well." Thank you for posting your journey on the Internet. It has to be a great comfort for those going through the first days, weeks and months of being diagnosed.

I'll direct my future Bexxar patients to your website it that's OK with you.

Stay well and keep writing those books! Looking forward to reading more!

Hello to your wife.
