:: Pssst...Wanna be in My Next Book? Sign up as a publicist. ::

Submitted by TL Hines on Tue, 01/22/2008 - 21:53.
So what's all this talk about publicists and roles in novels?

I should start with some back story. When I launched my first book, Waking Lazarus, I invited people to sign up as volunteer book publicists on this very web site; in return for telling others about the book, they had the chance to win a role in an upcoming book.

As a result, Kevin Lucia won a role in my second book, The Dead Whisper On. Now, Sarea Brockman has won a role in my third novel.

And you know what? I love the idea of sharing some of the success with the people who help make it happen, so I'll be continuing the whole "Volunteer Book Publicist" project as long as I write books. Every book will have a character named after one of my readers who sign up on this site.

On top of that, you'll also get access to the forums and extra content only available to publicists, all throughout this site--kind of like getting the bonus disc with your favorite DVD.

So, whaddya say? Wanna be my book publicist? If so, just sign up for an account now, and keep in touch.
