It went well...at least the first 11.5 miles did. That last 1.6 miles was a bit slow, but I made it through without any major difficulties. Dropped off the training wagon a bit recently (mostly due to a big move), but hoping to start training again--and tackle a full marathon in 2011.
Biggest tips: It's your first half; don't worry about time in the least. Don't even set goals for a time. Your big goal is to finish.
Also: I recommend gels/Gatorade/something to give you energy--I find I can bonk pretty heavily after about 1 1/2 hours if I don't take in some calories whilst running. So, try a gel or Gatorade/sports drink at, oh, every other water stop during the run.
